The Old Post
Office Cottage is a charming 18th century
cottage in the delightful village of Moulin just ¾
mile from the bustling and popular tourist town of Pitlochry
and yet set amidst some of the most wonderful countryside.
In the village is The Moulin Hotel a very characterful inn,
a little brewery and a short distance away Edradour Distillery,
the smallest distillery in Scotland and arguably its most
picturesque no matter the time of year. Pitlochry offers the
famous Festival Theatre dramatically situated on the banks
of the River Tummel, the internationally renowned Salmon Ladder,
the Blair Atholl Distillery and a generous choice of shops
and restaurants. A few miles drive north is Blair Castle,
set in spectacular scenery and a top visitor attraction. The
area abounds with wonderful walks, whether you wish a short
woodland stroll or a rather more strenuous climb up Ben y
Vrackie.
Fishing is plentiful in the many lochs and rivers and in addition
to the local golf course in Pitlochry there are numerous other
courses within an hours drive (including Gleneagles) with
St Andrews under ninety minutes away. Accommodation
The cottage has two bedrooms (a double downstairs and a twin
upstairs), a delightful galleried sitting room, a separate
(but connected) dining room and a well equipped (oven, hob,
fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher and
washing machine) kitchen and utility room. The bathroom is
downstairs. |
